A bid that costs nothing to make is worth nothing. Every bid is backed by a refundable deposit, so the board shows real money and real buyers — not jokes.

The deposit counts toward your total. You pay the remainder before the header goes up.

How do I place a bid?
Hit the button on a zone, name your number, send the deposit to the address shown, confirm. Your bid is on the board immediately.
Why do I have to put money down?
Because otherwise the board fills with six-figure joke bids by lunchtime and no real buyer can read the price. The deposit is 20%, refundable the second you're outbid, and it's the only thing that makes the numbers on this page mean anything.
What if I get outbid?
You get a message, and your deposit goes back to the wallet it came from within 24 hours of close. You're free to raise or walk.
What does 'unconfirmed' mean on a bid?
The bid is placed but I haven't matched the deposit to the wallet yet. It usually clears within a few hours. If no deposit shows up, the bid is removed.
